Ambani promise about 5G NETWORK , facts about 5G on 2023
Reliance Jio, the country's largest telecom firm, said on Saturday that it will expand 5G telephony services offering ultra-high-speed internet connectivity to every part of the country by December 2023.
Jio entered the telecom sector in September 2016, offering free voice calls and dirt-cheap data, forcing the competition to either match or fold up/consolidate.
Mr. Ambani has now promised cost-effective 5G services.
"Today, I want to reaffirm Jio's commitment to delivering 5G to every town, taluka, and tehsil in our country by December 2023," he said at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) conference in New Delhi.
Mr. Ambani announced the rollout of 5G services from four metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata by Diwali at his flagship Reliance Industries Ltd's annual shareholder meeting in August.
He added that 5G and 5G-enabled digital solutions can bring affordable and high-quality education and skill development within the reach of common Indians because the majority of Jio's 5G is developed in India.
It can provide high-quality healthcare to rural and remote areas by converting existing hospitals into smart hospitals with little additional investment, making the best doctors' services digitally available anywhere in India, improving diagnostic speed and accuracy, and enabling real-time clinical decision making.
According to him, 5G can also bridge the urban-rural divide by accelerating digitisation and intelligent data management in agriculture, services, trade, industry, the informal sector, transportation, and energy infrastructure.
"By incorporating AI into every domain, 5G can help India become the world's intelligence capital. This will assist India in becoming a significant exporter of high-value digital solutions and services "he said, adding that all of this will spark a massive surge in entrepreneurship in the country. This, in turn, will attract even larger investments and result in the creation of millions of new jobs.
Mr. Ambani stated that by combining the power of demography and digital technologies, India can become the world's leading digital society, accelerating growth by making India a $40 trillion economy by 2047, up from $3 trillion now, and rapidly increasing per capita income to more than $20,000, up from $2,000.
"It's not an exaggeration to say that 5G is like a Digital Kamadhenu, the heavenly cow that grants us whatever we want," he said.
With 5G, India will be able to take longer and faster steps toward "Sab Ka Digital Saath and Sab Ka Digital Vikas," he said. "India may have started late, but we'll finish first by deploying 5G services."Mr. Ambani stated that 5G is much more than just the next generation of connectivity technology, offering foundational technology that unlocks the full potential of other transformative technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, robotics, blockchain, and the metaverse.
